Planets Have Places They Thrive

Exalted, a planet rules like a king on his throne. In its own sign it rests at home. Debilitated, it struggles — a guest in an unfamiliar land.

JyotishVed AI Chat

Seven AI agents. One answer.

Ask anything about your chart, and seven specialist agents work on the answer together — each one expert in a single branch of Jyotish. A general-purpose chatbot replies from what it has read about astrology. JyotishVed replies from what your own chart actually says.

Backed by NASA JPL data

All seven read the same figures: planetary positions from NASA JPL’s DE431 ephemeris — the dataset used to navigate spacecraft — cast to 0.001° by the Swiss Ephemeris, sidereal, on the Lahiri ayanamsa. Most astrology apps interpolate from lookup tables. An answer is only ever as accurate as the arithmetic beneath it.

Ask it what you would ask an astrologer

Every answer is grounded in the dasha, yoga or transit actually present in your chart — and names the classical rule it came from.

About JyotishVed

Ancient science, honestly computed

Jyotish — the Vedic “science of light” — has guided decisions for millennia. We built JyotishVed to make that wisdom genuinely accessible, without diluting it. No vague daily horoscopes: every reading starts from your exact birth chart and is grounded in the classical texts the tradition is built on.

Astronomical precision

Planetary positions from the Swiss Ephemeris — the same engine used by professional astronomers — computed to 0.001° with Lahiri Ayanamsa.

Grounded in the classics

Yoga and doṣa rules are taken from Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra and carry their source, so a detection can be traced back to the śāstra rather than taken on trust.

A specialist per domain

Yogas, dashas, transits, compatibility, muhūrta and remedies each have their own engine. The relevant one computes first; the AI explains what it found, rather than answering from nothing.

The Process

Three Steps to Clarity

01

Enter Birth Details

Date, time, and place of birth. Time accuracy directly affects Lagna (ascendant) — even 4 minutes shifts the rising sign.

02

Compute with Precision

Swiss Ephemeris calculates planetary longitudes to 0.001° accuracy. Lahiri Ayanamsa applied for sidereal positions.

03

Receive AI-Interpreted Insights

Your yogas, dashas and afflictions are computed from the chart against Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra rules — then explained in plain English, personalised rather than generic.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Vedic astrology (Jyotish)?
Jyotish, meaning 'science of light', is an ancient Indian system of astrology rooted in the Vedas. Unlike Western astrology, it uses the sidereal zodiac (actual star positions) and incorporates unique systems like Nakshatras (27 lunar mansions), Dashas (planetary time periods), and divisional charts (Vargas) for precise predictions.
How accurate are the chart calculations?
Our calculations use the Swiss Ephemeris — the same astronomical engine used by professional astrologers worldwide. We apply the Lahiri Ayanamsa (officially adopted by the Indian government) and compute all planetary positions, houses, aspects, and dashas with arc-second precision.
What is Ashtakoota compatibility matching?
Ashtakoota (8-fold) matching is the traditional Vedic method for evaluating marriage compatibility. It compares the Moon signs and Nakshatras of two individuals across eight factors — Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi — yielding a score out of 36. A score above 18 is generally considered favorable.
Is my birth data private and secure?
Your birth details are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in an access-controlled database with encryption at rest. Only your own account can read your charts. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers; we do use a small number of service providers to run the product — authentication, payments, and AI interpretation — as detailed in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and all associated chart data at any time from Settings.
Do I need my exact birth time?
For the most accurate chart, yes — the birth time determines your Ascendant (Lagna), house cusps, and Dasha balance. Even a few minutes can shift these. If you don't know your exact time, we can still calculate planetary positions, but house-dependent readings will be approximate.
What AI model powers the interpretations?
We use advanced AI grounded in classical Jyotish texts including Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Saravali, Phaladeepika, and Jataka Parijata. It provides interpretations rooted in these authoritative sources while explaining concepts in accessible language.
